Want to get dropped off and picked up right at our admissions gate? Take one of our complimentary shuttle buses from Alexandria. Shuttles will run on Friday from Noon to Midnight and Saturday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Shuttles will run from the following locations: America's Best Inn & Suites, AmericInn, Best Western, Country Inn & Suites, Days Inn, Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, Skyline Inn, Super 8, Viking Motel, the Viking Plaza Mall, and Big Ole.
If you feel you should not drive home, please feel free to take the shuttle back to town and leave your vehicle in our parking lot. If you drive a Shelby Mustang, please also leave us the keys! Finish your wine before you ride - consumption of alcoholic beverages on our shuttles is prohibited.
On the Grape Stomp shuttle route:
With private shuttles:
No camping is allowed on Carlos Creek Winery grounds at any time. Camping is available at:
Please participate responsibly in festival activities! Carlos Creek Winery cares about your safety. The Douglas County Sheriff's Dept. will be onsite to assist. Drinking in the parking lot or on shuttles will not be allowed. Appropriate dress is required. Behavior considered offensive to others will not be tolerated. Carlos Creek Winery reserves the right to refuse the sale of wine to anyone.
PLEASE NOTE: It is against Minnesota Law to serve alcohol to intoxicated persons – even those taking shuttles or with designated drivers.
Plenty of free parking for passenger vehicles and buses is available on-site.
Dropping people off on County Rd 34 is strictly prohibited. It’s dangerous, and we want to make sure everyone arrives and gets home safely.
Don't feel like carrying your wine and other purchases around? Use our Drop & Deliver Service! Drop off your wine or packages at Guest Services on the front porch of the winery. When you're ready to leave, guest services will arrange a golf cart transit for you and your packages back to our "Vino Wagon" Shuttle Stop at the admissions tent.
We have parking for over 5000 cars on-site. That's a BIG parking lot! To help you get from the far reaches of the lot to our admissions area, we will have a people-mover constantly circulating. You can hop on anywhere on the North parking lot exit road and pick up a return ride at the Vino Wagon Shuttle Stop located by the admissions tent.
Admission is $3 on Friday & Sunday and $5 on Saturday. The Dweebs barn dance on Friday evening requires a $10 ticket, which is available online or at the door.
The festival is handicap accessible, and will go on rain or shine! Although all major activities are under cover, please wear sunscreen and/or bring rain gear as appropriate.
If you plan to purchase wine (and we hope you do!) you must be 21 or older. Everyone will be carded at admissions and given either a "21 or Older" wristband or an "Under 21" wristband. All guests should be prepared with PHOTO ID showing proof of age.
Unfortunately, except for service animals, pets will not be admitted on the festival grounds. Please make alternate arrangements for your pets.
Please don't leave pets in your vehicles!
Though minors under the age of 21 will be admitted, this is primarily an adult event, and no specific children’s activities are planned. Parents may want to consider alternative arrangements for child care during the event.
Carlos Creek Winery is a non-smoking property. Smoking is only allowed in the smoking area by the Man Cave.
ATMS will be located throughout the Festival Grounds for your convenience.
There will be plenty of fine foods and wine available for sale at the festival. Outside food, alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages are not allowed. Coolers & Picnic Baskets will not be permitted on the festival grounds.
